Studio 10;15: The Three-Week Maker Intensive
Ages 10–15 | July 6 – 24th | Somerset Brigade BandRoom
Studio 10;15 is a three-week program built on a Challenge-Based model. Every day, students are presented with a new STEAM objective—from mechanical engineering and textile design to environmental field studies.
But we go deeper than the build. Each challenge is anchored in a Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) theme, such as Persistence, Empathy, or Adaptability. We won’t just teach them how to use a sewing machine or map an ecosystem; we teach them how to think through a problem, work in a team, and trust their own creative voice.
The result? A maker who doesn’t just have a cool project to take home, but the grit and mindset to build the next one.

Organizer's Description
With over 20 years as a creative teacher and 15 years as a therapist for young people, I’ve spent my career at the intersection of making and healing. My background is rooted in the belief that when children work with their hands, they are actually learning how to navigate the world.
In Studio 1015, the aim is to help ground and nurture students. My goal is to use these daily STEAM challenges to explore essential life skills, providing a supportive space where your child can build confidence and manage frustrations while also building the emotional tools they need for life.
