DASP – Middle School Camp

Hello Parents!! I have worked with this age group since 2012. In fact, this year 2023 I was working at Sandy's Middle School as an educator and Coordinator for the Spring In the Arts. I was in charge of putting together an amazing show featuring all Middle School students within the Arts and Music Department for the Department of Education. I was a broad member for the Spring into the Arts working under the leadership of Acting Arts Officer, Mrs. Shannon Rose-Robinson. My role was to ensure that all Middle School Teachers who taught Art and Music called on me for anything that they needed help with. So much goes into a show. Having to work with students and teachers  requires a lot of patience. Let me take you back to 2012. I created 2 successful Middle School Programs at Hamilton Center.  The programs were very different but our young showed up and in the end gained so much. The 1st program was a Girls 5K Run/Walk . The 2nd program was called "Career Move" teaching young people how to put together resumes and teaching them how to dress for a job interview. Field Trips to Bermuda Motors and other organizations help students learn about those professions and what they do on a daily basis.
